1. Introduction
Page Guard ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at getpageguard.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.
2. Information We Collect

- Dependency files you upload or paste (processed in memory, not stored)
- Email address (if you purchase documents or use credit redemption)

Information Collected Automatically
- IP address (used for rate limiting; not stored long-term)

- We never read, access, or store your source code, issues, pull requests, or any other repository data
- Dependency file contents are retained only for the duration of your scan session and are not stored beyond that
- GitHub access tokens are deleted immediately after the scan completes — they are not retained for any period
3. Scan Data and Analytics
When you use PageGuard to scan a website or application, we store:
- An anonymized record of the scan results, including detected technologies, compliance gaps, and risk scores. This record contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be linked back to you or your website. We use this data in aggregate to produce industry reports and improve our scanning accuracy.
- If you provide an email address (for deploy hook notifications or account features), we store your email alongside your scan history to enable change notifications and your dashboard. You can delete this data at any time by contacting privacy@getpageguard.com.
- We derive your approximate geographic region (continent) from your IP address for aggregate statistical purposes. We do not store your IP address.
We do not sell individual scan results. We may publish aggregate, anonymized statistics about technology usage and compliance trends across all scans.
